Much Ado

Even though it was rather short and the Quote quizzes pretty much ruined it for everybody, I think that Much Ado About Nothing was yet another good play to read. Most people say that they hate to read Shakespeare and that he's so boring but I don't think so. I love to read Shakespeare. I have to admit that this is his first comedy I have read and I was surprised that people in his time made the same kinds of jokes that we do. I always thought we were more perverted. It was definitely a different experience reading Much Ado than Julius Caesar or Romeo and Juliet. Much Ado almost feels like it's written by another playwright but yet you still know it's Shakespeare from his ingenuity and style he puts into it.

Almost Summer!

It's the end of yet another school year. Great memories and new friends were made over the course of the year. Of course friends were lost and bad memories were made too but when we look back on this year down the road from now the good things are what we will remember. I'm definitely looking forward to this summer. It's going to be the best one yet for sure and I know that. Next year will be the best school year yet too. A lot of people say they're nervous for next year and don't want it to come but heck, i want it to come. That means it's the last year of high school and I will finally move on to college and start the rest of my life.

The Man Who Had No Blogs

You should have kept that redhead in line ten years ago. Everyone saw him going downhill when Mrs. Matthews did a blog check and he had absolutely no blogs at all. I mean everyone at least had a few blogs, but not that man. He was doomed to a life full of failure. Begging for change and crack money from a cardboard box on a NYC street. Yep, that's the man who had no blogs. He stood up for countless hours in the back of the classroom only to gain the attention of his peers because he was headed for nowhere. All because he couldn't finish his blogs!!

The Royal Wedding & Connor's Problem

Oh my gosh the royal wedding it's so amazing! Not! I don't really see what the big deal is. The media acts like it's such a big deal when really i just see it as any typical wedding. Sure it may be two of the biggest British celebrities on that little island over there but we just don't wanna hear about it. Half the time we could care less about celebrities here. The wife just usually ends up getting Chris Brown'ed. Anyways, Connor seems to have a very unusual problem in english class. He never wants to sit down. I've never seen this problem in any other class with anyone else, but Foxy himself. If only our teacher would help us out with this situation...

Summer Heat

When it's hot and there's a heat wave outside, I would rather be outside and enjoy the weather than sit around inside. I'm not the type of person who can sit around and play COD all day I just find that really boring. Go ahead and call me crazy. I probably haven't used my TV in over two months. I guess its my years of mowing yards all summer long that the hot weather doesn't really affect me. In fact, I kind of enjoy it. Even when I'm outside for a while I usually just stay out there. Going inside gives you that weird dizzy feeling and everything seems really dark since you've been out in the bright summer light for such a long time. Plus, my days of sitting around and playing video games all the time when I was younger makes me want to be outside even more.

'Tis the end of April

It's almost the end of school year! The most exciting time of the year. This year has gone by and has been another long year with some good memories. The best school year so far? I think so. It seems that each year gets better and better as time goes along. Except for the jump between 5th and 6th grade year. It was like being transported into a prison and you are completely unaware of what is happening. Anyways, we have another ERF coming up and CATS testing which is easy. Then there's Prom, the AP Final, a few days off from school, and finals. Stressful, but eventful which will make the rest of the year fly by like every end of the year.

Being a kid

Between the ages of 5 and 10, my favorite activity to do was to play video games. I'm sure almost everyone can agree with this activity. Besides going to school and doing easy homework such as multiplication tables, there was nothing better to do than to sit down and play some Nintendo 64. No COD or anything like that. Some good old James Bond on the N64 never got old. Well, until you played it for 5-10 years straight that is. Apart from playing video games watching TV was a backup plan. Sitting back and watching Rugrats or Rocket Power or Hey Arnold was the idea of having a good time. Those were the days.

Lessons

I have learned the best lesson of all over spring break..take the week off work next year when it comes around! Work = no fun. Working 8 hours a day everyday except for Wednesday proved to be anything but fun and exciting. Standing at the same position making sandwiches for 8 hours straight watching the minute hand drag by on the clock was not the least bit fun. I do not regret it though. I got overtime for working over forty hours in one work week which means I will be getting a huge paycheck today since today Wednesdays are our paydays. All I know is that when it comes summertime, I am taking a week or two off!

Music

Okay I'm pretty sure every one of us can say that we have not bought a CD in at least the past 5 years or more. I mean, we just get the music from our friends now or we use LimeWire or something on a home computer (definitely not a school computer!) However, the last CD I think I have listened to was Van Halen's debut album "Van Halen" on the way home from work last night. Why did I listen to that album? Because that CD was a staple in my Dad's music collection that he would often listen to while I was growing up. I swear I've listened to that entire album 100 times. How can you resist Eddie Van Halen's guitar shredding skills or David Lee Roth's somehow catchy vocals? And how can you resist hearing a cover of a song done by The Kinks that escalated into a hard rock masterpiece that received more radio airplay than the original recording itself?

Over half the people who read this won't know what I'm talking about. The other half have a darn good taste in music. I don't care if it's from 1978. You say songs from 2009 are old. I mean really? It still sounds good and it still beats the crap out of modern rock. That's all for now.

When I'm stressed,...

When I'm stressed, I will do many different things depending on my mood and I'm sure everyone else would agree. I might just go to work and that will take my mind off of things. Sometimes for good, other times temporarily. Other times I will start to panic and worry about everything in severe cases of stress. Yet other times it happens, I will relieve my stress by taking it out on other people and sit back and laugh while they retaliate in anger thus increasing their stress level. Mission accomplished.

The best thing I have found to do, however, is to hangout with a group of friends and just have a good time. Party, party, and party it up some more. If most of my friends seem to be busy (which they usually are at the worst times), I will rely on my girlfriend to hangout with me and help keep my mind off stress or I will sit around and play guitar or some COD or whatever else is available. Oh, and how could I forget about Facebook. Reading through pointless posts of peoples' so called "terrible lives" and laughing at them because the person who wrote them is the only person who liked and/or commented on the statuses is pretty enjoyable. Epic Fail.

Ode to Connor Hundley

Ah, Connor Hundley. I was telling him all my problems with him and he tells me to blog about it and so here I am. He claims he can beat Dallas at volleyball every class and quite frankly I find it hilarious! Connor is garbage when it comes to volleyball. I mean for Christ's sake he hit a little girl in the face the last time I played volleyball with him! And then Mrs. Matthews tells everyone to take a seat when the bell rings and Connor will continue to stand up for at least twenty minutes and then Hunter and me and everyone elsee will tell him to sit down. Also, he named Dallas's blog and URL for her and she can't change the URL! She is going to be real p'oed!

Who am I?

1. I am funny.
2. I am honest.
3. I am a hard worker when it comes to some things.
4. I am skinny and not fat like I used to be in 8th grade.
5. I am Legend! (Which is a good movie)
6. I have pretty eyes (So I've been told)
7. I have long hair, which is way better than short hair.
8. I am athletic.
9. I am a beastly guitar player.
10. I am a good McDonald's worker. Haha.

This are all good traits because they are admirable and they define who I am. Some of them can seem a little biased though since they are traits I have heard other people tell me instead of ones that I came up with myself.

Emergency

Who would you call first in case of an emergency? Well most people might say to call 911 or call your significant other in case of an emergency, but I would call my Dad. Yeah, he's the person who would yell at me for doing something stupid and would be over there in five minutes to yell at me some more like if I had a car wreck. But I mean that's my dad and he's just trying to look out for me and to be honest my mom scares me when she gets mad more than my dad her eyes will bulge out of her head and I'm sure everyone knows how their mom is about stuff like that. But then after I would talk to my dad i would talk to my mom about it, then call 911, then tell my girlfriend about it, then laugh about it at school with all my friends at lunch.

Ugly Words

Nobody in the rural area can spell at all. Supercalifragulisticexpialadocious is one of those commonly mispelled by those who are on tour or are vomiting and need a hemarrhoid surgery. People come into my work asking for a Frappe all the time, and I swear I have never heard so many pronunciations of one word in my life. Diarrhea is also another grotesque sounding word (credit to Hunter for that one). Go to Pepto Bismol for help on that one. Crap is another word that is pretty ugly too and sounds really violent compared to go take a number two or something else. Hickey is another one of those words that is ugly and doesn't sound like what it's supposed to be. Sounds like Billy Bob Hickey or something. On a last note, gonorrhea is one ugly word too. I just used that because I ran out of time.

Chickens

Why did the chicken cross the road??

1. To get to the other side.
2. He was at a crosswalk.
3. There's no Chick-Fil-A on the other side.
4. To get to the vegetarians.
5. Everyone at the party 'cross the street was doing the chicken dance.

The best reasons for doing nothing?

The prompts have been good enough to write about lately. So I shall write the best reasons for not doing your work in school:

1. Because, work can't be done when you're sleeping. Your head is on the desk, you know?
2. You're daydreaming since the teacher has been talking for an hour straight with a monotone.
3. You're counting down the minutes until the bell.
4. It's almost LUNCHTIME!
5. You're BORED
6. You hate that class.
7. Too busy talking to other people.
8. You're doing homework for another class.
9. Studying for a test next period.
10. You're in that i don't care mood today.

NO, NO, NO!!

10 Ways to write and say No (that we should have done with Mr. Griggs but we are doing now):

1. The answer is know!...*written by a kid who can't spell*
2. Ehhh, i don't know....
3. Maybe...*only when your parents use it*
4. Don't give in to peer pressure!
5. Yeah, when pigs fly!
6. Not a chance!
7. Never!
8. I'm sorry, but I only like you as a friend.
9. I don't feel like it....
10. I'll pass on this one.

No Title

I can honestly say that I've exhausted all of my blog topics for this month. Don't you just hate when that happens? I mean it's not like I ever have anything good to write about anyway, but I have ran out of all my half-mediocre topics. Maybe I will just have to ramble? Anyways, now I am sitting in study hall with 34% battery and I better go ahead and knock out this blog before my battery dies. Of course, I could just be sitting at home right now if we didn't have these snow days this week. It's a shame Early Release got canceled. I was looking forward to it for a while. Ah well going to school until June now makes it all worth it, right? That was sarcasm by the way, couldn't find the sarcasm font to use for that one. Even though I guess that's pretty much every word that comes out of my mouth and that I type. Well it's about time to start on the rest of my homework so until next month's blogs, may the schwartz be with you.

Something Interesting, Something New?

Hmm, what is there to write about these days? Classmates don't seem to enthused these days. The storytellers are sitting back and the jokers are still making jokes, even though the jokes are getting rather old. What's the next new interesting, new thing at Apollo? Recently you had something that was so tasty like a pastry and then there was trimesters and I can't remember what the big deal was before that. (Black Ops, anyone?) It seems like every so often though, something happens at our school that people will talk and talk some more about for weeks until it gets old and dies out. Yes there are little stories in between that make the cut but what we could all use is something interesting, something new Apollo.

Blogs

The magic number for this month is six. Six blogs are due on Monday and I can't complain, that's a lot better eight. In all honesty, blogs aren't really that hard to write. All you have to do is get your thoughts together and start typing then everything will come to you from there. Yeah, the blogs may not be that great to read but what matters is you see that A in Infinite Campus for January Blogs. In all honesty I could pretty much care less if people find my blogs interesting or not. I am pretty sure they are not interesting but that's okay, I'm just typing away so I can get other homework done, like that reading for The Alchemist and the study guide and the essay revision. There's some work to be done.

Times Are Changing

Everything seems to have changed yet once again. What I became used to for the past several months has become different. Instead of riding the bus to school and hitching rides to work, I drive there. Instead of bumming rides off friends when we hangout, I drive there. Everything feels different now that I drive places. Also, switching out of two of my classes I had first semester makes everything feel different too. No more Spanish 3 on blue day, instead it's Music Appreciation and a different Chemistry class on white day. School is a whole lot easier now, that's all I have to say. As a great group of musicians once said, I have to admit it's getting better all the time.

An oh-two Malibu

After a rescheduled appointment due to weather and a nerve-wracking test with a state trooper, I can finally say that I can drive by myself! Ah, how good it feels to not have to bum rides off my parents and friends. I can drive back and forth to school instead of riding the bus which lets me sleep in an extra hour and get home thirty minutes earlier. Not to mention when my girlfriend or friends want to hangout, I can drive myself around instead of stuck hanging out at one place for several hours. It sure does give me more options. Plus, driving back and forth to work is nice too, even though I end up paying for it all in the amount of gas I have to use but in the end I think it is all worth it. Let's just see how long it takes before I get tired of driving myself places.

The Final Countdown

It's the end of yet another month and that means blogs are almost due! It's time to start working on a month's worth of blogs in study hall to get that easy A. Not to be confused with the movie Easy A, because nobody actually likes that movie. Yeah, we thought it would be funny after reading The Scarlet Letter with Riney in English 10 but the truth is, you watch five minutes of that movie and you are pretty much done with it. Back in the sleeve and off to Netflix it goes. Either that, or you wasted a good eight bucks and a date that could have been better spent elsewhere besides a packed theatre of bored teenagers. Anyways, I'm still not sure how many blogs are due by the end of the month with all these snow days we've been having so I'm just gonna type away and see where that gets me. Hopefully five or six by the end of class. Who knows?
